The Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia College equips students with clinical care and leadership skills. Students learn basic medical surgical nursing as well as various specialties and community care. You'll develop complex clinical reasoning, decision-making and collaborative skills that contribute to patient safety and quality processes. Take core requirements in biology, anatomy and physiology. Prepare for a career in nursing

Columbia College's Bachelor of Science in Nursing prepares graduates for clinical care as well as leadership roles in nursing. At the completion of the program, you'll be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become an RN. Successful completion of the program does not guarantee eligibility to take the licensure examination. According to the Nursing Practice Act, licensure may be withheld or revoked due to controlled substance abuse, criminal prosecution, and a variety of other offenses.  

Those with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing are better positioned to advance to leadership and educational roles. The BSN also provides a foundation for advanced academic study.

Re: Columbia College BSN CCNE accreditation

This notice is to notify all students, faculty, and interested parties that Columbia College will have an accreditation review this spring for the Traditional BSN, and online RN-BSN programs.

The on-site review by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is scheduled for February 21st, 2024 to February 23rd, 2024.

In the CCNE accreditation process, there is the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit in writing comments by January 31st, 2024 to the email or postal address below.
